When Mohammad arrived in the United States just one year ago, he carried little more than determination, resilience, and a vision for a better future. Shortly after beginning his new life, he enrolled in CWS Harrisburg’s Good Job Happy Family (GJHF) program, where he received financial training, budgeting support, and personalized guidance from his case manager.
Through the program, Mohammad built his savings, learned to manage monthly expenses, and began charting a path toward his long‑held dream: opening his own auto garage.
With enough savings and the confidence gained through GJHF, Mohammad took a courageous step forward. He opened his first business in the United States—an auto garage where he puts his years of experience and expertise to work each day.
Today, Mohammad’s garage is more than a business. It has become a trusted resource for fellow refugee families and CWS staff alike—a place where skill, community, and new beginnings come together.
